"Titelgebend für den Band ist das reale Werk De bello Gallico, eine lange Papyrusrolle, in dem Cäsar seine erfolgreichen Feldzüge gegen die Gallier beschreibt. Im Comic enthält es jedoch das fiktive Kapitel „Rückschläge im Kampf gegen die unbeugsamen Gallier in Aremorica“, womit das gallische Dorf u. a. mit den beiden Helden der Comicreihe, Asterix und Obelix, gemeint ist. In Einverständnis mit Cäsar lässt ein römischer Zensor namens Syndicus diese Passage zunächst entfernen. Der numidische Schreiber Bigdatha gibt allerdings eine Abschrift der unzensierten Version an den gallischen Kolporteur Polemix weiter, der die Schriftrolle in das Dorf von Asterix und Obelix trägt. ...

School routines start again ... but the world is spinning faster than usual

We are all aware that in this year our school's environment will not be untouched by the political developments taking place now in Europe and Germany and Lake Constance County.  

Therefore the first "Book of the Day", drawn from our history section, is the "Enzyklopädie Migration in Europe - Vom 17. Jahrhundert bis zur Gegenwart" Enzyklopädie Migration in Europe(2nd ed, 2008). Though it doesn't cover the new waves of migrants, it reminds us that societies have been faced with waves of migration for a long long time, and, most importanlt, have found ways of coping each time.
